ReFOODlution Symposium

Dear all,

The Lustrum Board of Study Association Nicolas Appert organises a fantastic event which is open for everyone:

Food Symposium reFOODlution October 1st

The Lustrum Board of study association Nicolas Appert is happy to welcome you all to the Food Symposium which is planned for Saturday the 1st of October. It will be organized in Omnia, the newest building on the Wageningen campus. During this eventful day, various guest speakers will share their stories related to the symposium theme; reFOODlution: the past and present of food as foundation of the future.

Food Production is constantly evolving: alternative protein sources are researched extensively to reduce meat consumption, waste streams are recycled or upcycled, and bacteria and algae help contribute to a more nutritious diet. Join us to hear about these transitions and breakthroughs in different food sectors.

The speakers include people from Unilever, FrieslandCampina, Wageningen University and Research, as well as many others. Besides the presentations given by these people who are well-integrated in the national and global food sector, the symposium will also be home to a myriad of workshops and a company market. The workshops offer the possibility to open debate about certain current food topics or aim to help in personal development, and the company market presents the opportunity to network with food companies and ask any questions related to their line of work.

In between these interesting moments, we offer you coffee/tea, lunch and a network drink afterwards. Are you curious to find out about the speakers and workshops? Check out the poster!

If you are curious about the newest developments in the food industry, join us during the Food Symposium on the 1st of October! The day will last from 09:00 until 18:00. We have special and reduced prices for Nicolas Appert members, WUR-students and Department employees!
